Hi Intel people,
I was experiencing constant game crashes while using GSKILL 6400 RAM both with XMP enabled and disabled. This was seemingly solved by swapping in my old Crucial 4800 RAM. I never had actual PC instability, just games like CS2. Assuming that was caused by my current motherboard not handling the higher RAM speeds, or generally having issues with 14th gen, I’m swapping out my ROG STRIX Z690-G for an MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk Max.
I’ve only used ASUS boards up to this point and currently have my short/long term power limits set to 253 & Asus Multicore enhancement set to enforce all limits. Can anyone give me some tips on BIOS settings for the 14900k specifically to properly enforce power limits and potentially undervolt for stability? All of the videos and online resources I’ve found are for the 13900k. I’m generally aware of what the settings mean but the simpler the better!
Thank you!
