Downvote me ALL you want, but James Harden solves many of our biggest issues and may be exactly what this roster needs.

Without Bron, we have no legit playmaker. This is why when he goes to the bench we are often big time negative. Say whatever the hell you want, D-Lo and AR are score first guards who can occasionally create but that is not their game. I know we love to hate Russ, but remember how many easy buckets he would help generate? Our roster was never a fit for him but see how well he has fit on the Clippers?

Harden helps with our shooting. He’s a career 36% 3 pt shooter, but he consistently takes difficult step back 3s. In open catch and shoot 3s Harden is automatic.
-
He still has the ability to single handedly win games. Remember last year when they played Boston? Did he have some playoff duds? Absolutely. But he had two 40 piece performances in which he single handedly beat Boston who many favored to come out of the East last season. As a 3rd option here, he will never be expected to do that but he still can turn on vintage Harden in moments.

D-Lo clearly is NOT a fit. Harden doesn’t help our defense but replacing him for D-Lo doesn’t hurt it either.

This is Harden’s last shot. I don’t think he’d fuck this up.
What would it take to get Harden?
I think an offer of D-Lo, Rui and a swap is fair. Sixers get an expiring in D-Lo who can help them off the bench, a quality wing in Rui and a swap. For Harden at this point that’s the best they get. I know, we cannot do this deal until December.
I don’t want to give up Rui, I love his game but Darvin Scam has completely decided to blackball him for whatever reason. Would rather see him flourish with a real coach like Nick Nurse.
Again downvote me all you want, but I think a swap for Harden would be exactly what we need on offense. With Vando returning soon enough that will help sure up the defense.
