I helped my gf build a new pc over the weekend and we have got everything going great except for one annoying issue of the monitors flickering on and off at random. There are two monitors connected, one DisplayPort one HDMI. The issue has primarily occurred with the DisplayPort but has also happened with the HDMI once or twice. We made sure the monitors firmware were up to date, the GPU drivers are up to date, we have tried different cables, we have replugged in the monitors and replugged the GPU into the motherboard and power supply, and I even made sure the GPU power management was set to maximum performance to make sure it wasn’t being throttled. I’m really at a loss on how to fix this but I am fairly sure the GPU is the problem, as we have not recreated the flickers with the monitors plugged directly to the motherboard. The problem occurs most often directly after booting the computer and it can sometimes be fixed for a while by plugging the cable into a different DisplayPort on the GPU, but it never lasts. The new build is also entirely new parts aside from one SSD and Hard Drive that she reused as additional storage on top of a new SSD. The old SSD was completely cleaned using the diskpart command prompt so there shouldn’t be a driver conflict. The GPU is a brand new RTX 4070, Windows 11 currently but it also was happening on Windows 10 before updating.

Thanks in advance for any help.
