I have a MacBook Air M1 that I’m trying to connect to a Dell U2720QM USB-C External Monitor.

Despite it saying “USB-C” in its name, I can’t make it work with any USB-C cable. The monitor just says “No USB-C signal.” I’m not using janky cables. I’ve tried the USB-C cable that came with the MacBook Air and I’ve tried one from Anker and Belkin. These cables charge everything else, but nothing with the monitor.

Heheh only thing that works is if I use a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 cable. That works perfectly, and I’d be happy to just do that, but the cables I have are only 1M long so I don’t have enough length to properly hide the cable.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
