Might be a hot take, but in Dave The Diver, when you (spoiler) >!meet the fish kingdom people (forgot what they were called)!< I lost interest in the game. I just wanted to find bigger and crazier fish! I don’t care about their story missions.

    Dragon quest builders 2.

They totally shoe-horned in a betrayal arch that completely railroaded the game and the feel the story had up until that point.

Was playing House in Fata Morgana.

    I got to “that part”

I stopped playing and held my wife and kid for a while thankful for having them in my life.

That choice at the end of gears of war 5 was so fucking jarring. I don’t think they can recover from that. It was already not a great fame but yeah the ending sucked so much

Fallout 4. At some point I realized I don’t like any of the factions and I don’t want to continue any of their stories.

Far Cry 6 for me. This was the only Ubisoft series I played so I wasn’t experiencing burnout on their open world formula. Then the game not only tosses gear/armor load outs but they have different types of ammo.

I like Far Cry 4 and 5 because to me it was a simple shooting gallery game. But then on 6 they basically made a diet Borderlands. I forced myself to finish it since I payed full price, but the changes to the ammo system and introducing the gear/perk system really annoyed me and dampened my fun with it.

Legend of Zelda BotW. The game deserves its praise but I can’t get into open world Zelda. Please give me OoT style gameplay.

I loved Gravity Rush and all they had to do to get me to love the sequel was give me more of the same. But they had to add in some godawful stealth segments which I got fed up with and dropped the game

Days Gone. Absolutely stellar until the introduction of a certain character. >!I was hoping she’d be alive, but when she was found, the game felt almost redundant, and she didn’t live up to expectations at all.!<
