If I were in the same boat and had both models, I’d do the same, but that is because I don’t want to risk losing the new model or accidentally destroying it while out on travel!
Also spare parts are currently unavailable for the OLED deck, at least last time I checked, so I guess repairing accidental damage is easier on the LCD deck!
My LCD deck has a travel cover and as a result fits in a bottle sleeve on my carry on pack whereas the OLED is naked so it stays in its case. Also my OLED is glossy and LCD is etched which is better for uncontrolled lighting conditions. Games I play aren’t going to drain the deck on a flight this short anyway, especially not with a battery bank which I carry.
