So, even though this team is doing amazing, and currently hold the two seed in the east, I still feel like this team is getting disrespected.

Because of a small stupid thing, like point differential, they didn’t make it to the next round of the tournament, even though they beat Boston, who won their group.

Other thing is, even though this team is doing amazing and has won many games on the road, this team can’t get on national TV? But the Spurs who have only won 3 games are on national TV just because they had the number one overall pick. It just seems like all the popular teams get all the airtime on TV while a team like Orlando who is doing great Can’t even get any games on national TV.

Maybe they could use these reasons to get a high seed in the playoffs in the east and eliminate some teams. Maybe then they’ll get some respect

Unfortunately, we have been “bad” for so long that we have to build a lot of credibility to overcome the old narratives surrounding our team. There’s going to be plenty of haters itching to say “I told you so” ( esp. to any mistakes or missteps made along the way). The media will catch up eventually and so will the casual fans. It’s going to take some time but we’re super close.

So for now let’s focus on a few of the small wins:

    • Credible basketball podcasts have talked about us this week.

    • Gaining a lot of new fans and Amway being packed with support for the guys

    • Oh and a 8 game win streak that helps propel us to the playoffs to get that air time :)

All the final group games should be played at the same time, but otherwise there is no one to blame but ourselves. The Nets didn’t make it either and they beat us by 20. No one is being disrespected here.

TV games are decided by whatever will draw the biggest audiences, it also has nothing to do with respect.

In basketball you always want to pass to where you think a player will be, not where they are right now. NBA writers don’t get that when it comes to the teams they didn’t expect to be good.

Tell us where you think a team will go, take that risk. So few writers do that, because it’s less safe. So right now you have writers that don’t say much about OKC and Orlando, and last year it was the Kings. I think the Kings got it worse than us last year.
