Same. Besides, In my mind, there is always a chance to win the Super Bowl until there isn’t. People are too quick to assume that they know what will happen despite the NFL coming to one score games so often, and us winning AND losing games that we thought we would lose/win. The game is unpredictable, always. Any team that sneaks in can trip and stumble their way to the big game.
Similarly, there is no guarantee that a top pick will do anything at all. Decades of NFL picks have shown that. The only time I might consider hoping for a better pick is when we are mathematically eliminated from contention.
Once you see this team have multiple first round exits in the playoffs it gets old.
I would take a CJ Stroud over a wild card berth.
