Gutekunst is issue with his uber ego.

I remember one of his first interviews when he was appointed as GM in 2018. - he stated then that one of his main job is to find AR replacement in the same way like AR replaced BF. And that was his focus.

He did not focus on SB window with 4 times MVP, he drafted extremley bad both positions and players, he did not extended All Pro receiver, he made mess with AR contract. Where he was good were FA aquisitions.

GB was just one TD away from SB in 2020 and 2021 despite Gutekust bad drafts. This is how AR was good.

And Murphy has own share of guilt.

He allowed too long that Thompson, with full respect, with mental health issue runs team which brought longer tenure of Mike McCarthy and Dom Capers. He appointed Gutekunst and brought complicated hierarchy where Gutekunst, Le Fleur and Ball responds to him. No clear accountability and reporting.

No organization can survive Murphy and Gutekunst.

AR was the only one keeping it afloat.
