It doesn’t matter what I try or who I pick, stay behind entire team with widow or frontline with flying pharah. I’ve been only playing a year but every time I’ve tried to go dps in this time I always have such an unfun time just dying non stop, but it doesn’t happen that way on support? Like aiming isn’t the issue bc I can do really good with kiriko getting almost 6k in damage and still around 8-9k in heals (her, brig, and illari got me to gold currently) TL;DR I want to play dps but I don’t know how to not die 15 damn times in one shitty bronze ranked match. 😭

It doesn’t really make sense to me how you can perform badly on dps if you perform well on support, because dps is the simpler role coming from a dps main. If you’re playing dps, you still apply the same fundamentals that supports use, just maybe a bit more careful since you do not have sustainable self heals.

Things like using corners and cover, off angles, flanks, keeping track of the state of your team. Unless your problem is winning 1v1s, because being able to win 1v1s contributes heavily to how well you perform as dps, more so than the other two roles.

Just because you aim well on Kiriko doesn’t mean you’ll aim well on dps. Kirikos projectiles are insanely big, so you can kinda just spam them at head level and get kills. It’s not hard. Dps is definitely the most mechanical role and even the least aim intensive heroes require decent aim. There’s no Mercy, Brigg or Rein for dps players. Even with Reaper and Junk you need to be good at flicks and be competent at flanking.
