windows 11, dell g15
tonight my laptop said it had an update so i shut down+restart my laptop was unplugged so it asked me to plug it in again for a firmware update i did that, and it seemed like the computer just shut down and wasn’t doing any updates. i turned it back on to make sure and it gave me a warning about my charger (lower wattage than recommended), which is usually what it does but it did this a few times like it was rebooting over and over. then it sent me into bitlocker recovery and then support assist OS repair???
now it’s saying startup repair was unsuccessful, and is giving me 3 repair points to choose from
11/29: will remove: Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus KB2267602 (Version 1.401.1356) Current Channel (Broad) will restore: Drawpile 2.1.20 2.1.20
11/28: will remove: (same windows microsoft defender thing) what will need to be reinstalled: (same drawpile version)
11/13: nothing at all??
i don’t think drawpile is causing it, malwarebytes said there’s nothing wrong w it + i and many other friends have used this program before with no issues. my boyfriend said it could be because my charger is a lower wattage than recommended and somehow messed up the update. they sold it to me with the laptop and i haven’t got around to replacing it since it charges it just fine, but he told me i should get a new one, so i will eventually.
did the microsoft defender update mess up somehow?? my bf said to repair from the 12/28 repair point just to be sure. i have no idea what any of this means and im scared bc i’ve never had this happen before :(
