Arsenal are in negotiations with Takehiro Tomiyasu over a new contract.
The Premier League club have made an offer to the Japan international with the two parties expected to reach an agreement in due course.
His currentl deal is set to expire in 2025, although the club do have the option to extend it by a further 12 months.
The 25-year-old joined Arsenal from Serie A side Bologna in 2021 and has gone on to make 71 appearances for the club including 18 so far this season.

if you exclude zinchenko (which i do, because he plays a completely different role and isn’t interchangeable with these players), we have a group of center backs and combo defenders on par with any club in the world. city are able to rotate their defenders and endure injury issues better than anyone because of the versatility and depth they have, and this group is starting to look an awful lot like theirs. plus: the oldest one is only 25. their ceiling as a group is probably still 2-3 years away.
if we can wrap up tomiyasu, we will have an incredible platform back there and i think we can really focus our attention on bringing in an A+ attacking player and a younger midfielder to replace one of jorginho or partey in the summer. the osimhen links make sense when you look at how well manned we are in other parts of the pitch. next summer will be about quality and not quantity.
