“I’ve said before that although the Blazers are rebuilding and going young, they aren’t interested in being the Process-era Sixers or last year’s Rockets. They understand the importance of having a couple of veterans to help along the kids, and right now Brogdon and Grant are doing a great job of filling that role.”

I wanted to share this brief blurb from our favorite beat reporter, Sean Highkin. I think it’s a great reminder on why we don’t need to trade every single player over 25 just because we are in a rebuild. I think a lot of people on here understand their value, but I see a lot of wild takes that imply every rebuilding team needs to sell the farm each year. Vets are incredibly important on a team like this, and personally I believe they are the the difference between us and the Pistons. If we want our young guys to develop good habits, Brogdon and Grant are essential at the moment.

Also, subscribe to Highkin if you can!
