I can see that some 4K movies take up a lot of space, up to 70GB each, this is ONLY the movie without extra material etc.

However, it makes me wonder if you can even see a difference between them vs compressed x265 4k, or 1080p when you sit 3-4 meters from a 55" TV.

Personally, I have a 55" TV and sit about 4 meters from it. I have no sound system, so therefore I don’t need DTS or TRUE HD soundtracks either.

Mostly I download RARBG or PSA releases in 1080p. They take up between 1.5GB and 3GB each and play fine via Plex and actually look OK.

What do you get most of 1080p, x265 2160p or REMUX 4k?
