Hey all,
I’m looking for recommendations for a relatively affordable, ultra high capacity, 3.5" HDD. The one listed below that seems to fit the bill is the WD 22TB Gold. I know there are some enterprise level HDDs in the $40k range but thats far outside my budget.
The thing I’m not sure about is stability. I’ve had WD portable HDDs fail on me before, so, honestly, I’m not a huge fan. There were mitigating factors which could have played a part so I’m willing to listen to the crowd. I do like Seagate. I’ve only used thair SDDs, though, so it’s apples and oranges.
Stability, Largest capacity, Price.
This is for backup but it really needs to be reliable.
