There’s no doubt that the Chiefs have been wildly successful during Mahomes and Andy’s tenure here. We’ve had more postseason success in the last 6 years than we had in the previous 55 seasons.

Still, there seems to be a perception, both here and around other fanbases, that the Chiefs were a perennial bottom feeder prior to this current run of success.

The reality is that even at our lowest point in franchise history, 2012, the Chiefs had the 12th highest regular season winning % of any team in the NFL. The Chiefs had the 3rd highest winning % of any team in the 90s.

The Chiefs have the 8th most HoF players of any franchise, and the most of any franchise from the AFL side of the merger (tied with the Raiders).

This team unquestionably struggled in the postseason, but with the victory in Super Bowl 4 they have virtually always been in the top half of the league for total championships. The reality now is that we’re rapidly approaching true blue blood status in the league and our teams from 1960-2012 are apart of that as well.
