Nice to have the mini break. Good for the players to rest up and heal before heading to Cinci. Also good for the tortured mind to reflect and get positive again:
Bills 3 losses were each by less than a TD. They would be 6-2 if Allen had just followed the grind it out game plan against Jetes. They would be 7-1 if travel management geniuses didn’t screw the players in London, or Allen wasn’t experimenting with being “low positive” against Pats. Would be 8-0 without all the defensive injuries.
International travel, low positive BS and Allen hero ball won’t be happening the rest of the season.
Allen in the hurry-up can’t be stopped, especially with some QB runs mixed in. This long break should help his shoulder recover.
Diggs as the new vocal leader was much needed. Per McD he fired the team up before the last game with a nice little speech, and it appears he also fired up McD and KD.
Allen getting it out of his hands in less than 3 seconds and 70%+ completion rates are great. Offense flows when this gets going. Looks explosive.
Gabe seems much more comfortable and productive in the short pass scheme. His size gives Allen quick easy targets. Like a big tight end.
Shakir, Kincaid, Cook all looking damn good. YAC so much better last game. Looks and sounds like this is a new focus and priority. Josh gaining confidence in the quick, short passing schemes to these guys.
While the schedule starts getting much harder, the offense is in position to have a relatively fresh look which hopefully gives DCs more problems to scheme against. Maybe will be a blessing against Cinci. Big game, a win would be a huge confidence boost for this team.
The defense is hanging in there despite the injuries. Von making progress. Poyer playing third LB in schemes is a great look. McD is going to want to shut down Cinci for reputations sake.
Still have a bye week coming. More needed rest and healing.
Going to be an exciting second half. Still a very real shot at winning the East, and if not should tough it out and make the playoffs (10-7?). Bills may be more inspired going i to the playoffs as a wild card team and run the table.
Tough division. Tough opponents. Tough conference. Tough league. But Bills are tough. Burn it all. Go Bills!
