My dumb wife never takes my side so I need a second opinion on the matter. There’s a few employees I’ve been having difficulties with. The most recent incident resulted in a termination. This lying kaniving bitch is always making up some excuse to get out of work. This is the fourth time she’s supposedly taken her kid to trhe hospital. I told her if she’s gonna keep taking her son to the hospital then she might as well get a job there. I’m running a small business with a small amount of employees. I need them to be present, attentive, and working if we all want to succeed as a team. She just wasn’t a team player so I let her go.

Another incident comes to mind where some employees asked if they can have a party in the breakroom for Cinco De Mayo. Little did I know it wasn’t Cinco De Mayo. Never heard of such a thing because my holidays are in English. Anyways I let them throw a party but what they did was have a whole multi family gathering. I kicked everyone out and had a stern meeting with the trouble makers. Even after the meeting there was still cousins and uncles in the breakroom! I found stowaways in the closet! I so badly wanted to terminate them but I know that’s not the team spirit. Can’t live the dream without the team.

Am I the asshole like the wife says or do I need to find new employees? I’ve heard through the grapevines they might revolt. I’m not sure what to do reddit. I might just pack up and move states. The wife’s been wanting the company anyways so she’ll probably get it in the divorce. She can deal with those people and come crawling back to me when she sees how terrible they are.
