I am asked to login to my microsoft account. At which point it tells me “To sign into Xbox, please install this framework WebView2 Runtime”

I press install

At which point it tells me “We couldn’t sign you in to Xbox Live Sorry, something went wrong. Try again in a while. (0x89235107)”

From what I can tell WebView2 Runtime is a framework already built into microsoft edge? I found it in my programs list and tried repairing it. However that had no effect. Anyone with a similar problem?
