For the sake of conceptual purposes let’s call it…
- Runeterra’s Calling
In this mode, all 10 players choose their champion the same way, but it would be an open lobby where all players can talk to each other and see each other’s picks. In this mode players would not be playing against each other but as a 10-man team.
All ten players would have to vote on which Region they will fight in;
- Void
- Shadow Isles
- Zaun
- Shurima
- Freljord
- Bilgewater
Each Region would have a series of small levels. But it would be a mix of horde/raid mode where the players have to clear hordes of enemies and collect loot, which they can trade amongst each other. But in this game mode, there are a lot of differences from the other modes…
- No Items that you can buy, the loot you collect are Artifacts. They empower your abilities with bonus effects, thus why trading is encouraged to strategize before coming to a fight.
- No Runes.
- No Resource Management.
- Low Cooldowns for Abilities to be able to clear hordes of enemies properly, but it’s not spammable.
- Each level has a boss, and with each later level the boss gets more and more difficult. Bosses drop 3 powerful Objects that can be activated once in a while by the players that take them (example: Slaying Malemaw and taking it’s tooth, will allow you to use it to make a spectral Malemaw assist you in combat where it spews webs at enemies dealing damage and slowing them).
I know that this sounds like a mix of Doom Bots, and the Star Guardian Game Mode but i’m certain there’s ways to improve on this and to make it into something really fun to play given the strategic focus nature of it. What do you guys think?
