Not really into comp but some friends pushed me into it and I’ve enjoyed climbing from mid gold to plat this season. I was expecting a bit of a curve as I start ranking up in plat but the first couple of games have been so bad. People are playing like they are mid silver. Out of position, super aggressive, no awareness.

I was just super surprised because at gold one the matches were pretty enjoyable I felt like I was in groups of similar skill, neither side lost by huge margins.

Is this typical of the bottom level of the rank? Is this just in plat?
