The Denver streak was going to break and you knew it was going to hurt when it did. Better to have it happen on the road. Denver fans likely celebrated after that game like they won the Superbowl. Good, let them. We split with them this year, a sweep would have really burned for a while. The Chiefs still own the Broncos 72-56 throughout their history of playing each other. Denver is going to suffer from the Russell trade for years, and additionally from their present coach. Fyi, Denver’s best streak on us is 8.

The Fins are our “Bengals/Bills” this season. The game next week has the potential to be key to home-field during the playoffs. Going into that game 7-1 might of had the Chiefs a little too confident. We know they’ll take it seriously and are more aware of the impact than me behind a keyboard. But now, the Chiefs are angry after this humiliation. I’ve no doubt this loss will be waking them up.

I believe this is the right way to look at it in general but I am very worried about the receiving corps. Not because of this single game but because they have only looked average against the teams we have played with the worst pass defense and looked terrible against average to above average pass defenses. The season isn’t over and I believe we can still put together a great season but it is super concerning.

We are at the “acceptance” stage of grief as it relates to the worst lost in mahomes career I see.

Not a Chiefs fan, this just popped up on my feed. Just wanted to say I hope y’all realize how spoiled you are to be in a position to say that a loss can be a good thing. Cherish these times.

I don’t disagree with you on this. For the fans who’ve come along in the last 5 yrs, they likely don’t appreciate the perspective. For those long-timers that remember Steve Deberg broken finger in the playoffs, “Marty-ball”, DT losing it vs Sharpe (lol still), Gunther’s smelling salts, 2012 season, and the 2013 tragedy… the list goes on…, those fans 100% cherish, relish, think we’re dreaming, etc, of all that’s happened.
