Stop with all the experimental line-ups! Consistency with starters/closers is what the team needs regardless of the record. Consistency sends a message and instills confidence in young players. It’s worked wonders for Killian so far, and as a season ticket holder for the past three seasons, it is very noticeable to me how more consistent he is in games this season. He is still a little too " handsy" and gets called for the “ticky-tack” fouls, but that’s on the officiating more than it is on him honestly trying to play good defense. So, with the imminent return of “Bogdangerous”, I offer this as my lineup to stick to, starting AND ending games. It’s up to Monty, to manage fouls, rest, etc., so these guys are on the floor, so they learn how to win together.

Obviously, there is a lot of flexibility with the 1 and the 2, but that could be a strength or a weakness for this team. No player, including Cade has shown that they own the position, and that is what is really needed. It may take some sacrifice offensively for Cade to “lock in” on being a true PG, but as the leading scorer on the team, unless someone (or two) steps up, we can’t afford that. With Cade moving to the 2, it may alleviate the responsibility of being both the “go to”/closer AND running the offense, something that Cade can definitely grow into. “Zeke” struggled with Tripucka until he got Dumars, then Dantley, then Aguirre. Chauncey struggled until he got “Rip”, then “Sheed”. Everybody else has to lock in and play Pistons D!! If you can’t score, then prevent them from scoring. That’s how the Pistons win! These young Pistons should ask Ben Wallace, “Worm”, Tayshaun, “Buddha”, Mahorn, and Laimbeer, how do win when you don’t have Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, or Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal, or Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parrish, on your team?!
