I set the 30GB update going, put my deck down for over an hour, came back and it was “patching” at about 5MB/s, left it for over an hour, was on 17%. Estimated completion time over 3 hours later. My main PC completed the ‘patching’ in maybe 10 mins.

Ran some benchmarks and they look OK, read speed isn’t great for an SSD but not awful. Uninstalled and reinstalling BG3 and I’m maxing my home broadband out at 45 MB/s and getting 65MB/s write now, bytes not bits, which is exactly what I should be seeing.

So it does specifically look like it’s the patching itself which went wrong. Only thing I can think is I only had 90gb free on the disk, so maybe that’s why. As for why I only have 90gb free it’s partitioned and I mostly play AAAs.
