Why doesn’t he throw more down field? I live in a state that gets Chiefs and Cowboys games over everything else, so I don’t get to see very many Broncos games. We got to watch yesterdays game and I was shocked at how little he threw down field. A couple of longer passes to Courtland and a couple to Jeudy. He hands off the ball and makes a lot of lateral passes for just a couple of yard gains. Why won’t he throw down field and let his receivers work for the catch?

He’s not that good. He has his moments but he has serious weaknesses. He’s short and can’t see over the line. He can’t pass over the middle at all. Teams know this. He also misses Jeudy constantly who’s open a lot.

I will say this though and it’s not Russ fault, but we might have the worst tight end room in football. We literally have zero athleticism at the tight end position. Dulcich is our only guy and we all know he can’t stay healthy. Tight end is that safety valve and we just don’t have it. Brock bowers might be an option in the draft if we can’t land a top QB
