We all know the situation where nobody reaches a cross ball and at the second post the striker, infront of an empty net, misses the ball by only a hair.

Are such situations represented in xGoals values and if so how? Because as far as I understand xGoals assigns a probability to every shot and technically there was no shot made in that situation. But situations like those are huge chances and definitely have a high chance for a goal so if they aren’t represented in the xGoals value that would be a huge weakness of that value.
