I am a big fan of Tesla. The cars are amazing. Generally I respect Elon, who has a track record of success. I support unions but I would never join one.
I think this is the best quote from the article.
“I don’t know, maybe they will unionize,” he mused. “If Tesla gets unionized it will be because we deserved it, and because we failed in some way.”
Elon has made many employees rich. If they unionize, they jeopardize the benefits that made them rich. I can’t see the company agreeing to be as generous when dealing with a union.
No,…no,…unions are Marxist. Employers have the right to fire anyone who tried to unionize. Unions need to be outlawed.
On the other size, employers need to show a lot more hospitality and generosity to the people that made the company successful. There’s a balance of don’t push an employee for every minute of work on the clock, but also if an employee can not maintain integrity of work required, or simply oesn’t feel like working at the moment during their shift, the company needs to be free to fire them.
Employees must stop demanding so much because they don’t pay for all the blot of expenses a company must pay out before starting on salaries, and empoyers must do more to help employees develop more skills for higher levels of success since successful employees who are well supported will only expand the company further.
No they don’t, not since 1935. This is easy information to not get wrong.

Just because the government infringes on a right it doesn’t mean it isn’t a right.
Just because you call something a right doesn’t make it a right either. It’s a legal protection so either agitate against it or stop fucking whining.

Good to know you don’t consider free association to be a right.
It’s not about what I consider, it’s about what you want to posture about versus what you actually do. Stop your goddamn whining, if you have a problem, do something about it. Don’t complain to me, I’m not your mom.
I bet you won’t. Talk is easy, and repealing 100 year old laws that every sane person agrees with is hard, and I doubt you have either the gumption or the intelligence to even begin to try :D
Fucking prove me wrong.
I’m not whining. Funny, coming from the guy who thew a tantrum over having to follow the rules.
Unions predate Marxism.
The second paragraph I agree with. There needs to be a balance from both sides. I don’t work for Tesla, but I have friends who became rich working for Tesla. They did say the problem is you are pushed hard, you are working on interesting stuff, but the stress is unreal. My friend worked there for 5 years and walked away with about 5 million dollars. As such you can say he was rewarded well for his time. THe problem is after 5 years he just couldn’t do it anymore.
Management collectively bargains; why shouldn’t labor be able to?
Something should countervail the power of the corporate organization; that’s a labor union.

Here’s some reading for ya on why unions are beneficial for every sector (including nonunion).
