Trevor Lawrence is an amazing young talent, and proven game manager. I think you’d be hard pressed to find more than a couple NFL GMs who wouldn’t want Lawrence as their QB for their franchise over what they have now.

Problem is: Lawrence with Press Taylor is not getting it done. The jags defence is pretty good (look at Mahomes and KC) and the run game is really working.

Lawrence has better weapons this year but he also has a better system, better team. They don’t need him to sling it deep each time. They aren’t trailing often. They control, and manage games very well.

My question is simple: is it better to leave him on the waivers or on your bench in shorter redraft leagues? His schedule isn’t amazing after the bye.

Other lower quality, lower skilled quarterbacks are outperforming him in regards to fantasy points. I fear Lawrence is going to have a Dak year like last year; cowboys D so good that they don’t see the field a lot, and when they do, it’s run game in the red zone, and short throws underneath.

All the people suggesting trading TLaw, he’s basically untradable in most 1QB redraft leagues because he has a week 9 bye

I think I’ll drop him for a waiver claim this week
