Russ has played efficiently, which is much more than can be said about last year, but how do we go forward when teams start stacking the box and forcing Russ to throw downfield? Yesterday he had 5 completed passes that went more than 5 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. We won yesterday with 250 yards of offense. We can’t count on a historic defensive performance every week and that won’t get it done if we get in a hole. The coaching adjustments this season from weeks 1-4 to 5-8 have been phenomenal, but more will be needed going forward.
