I know you old fans have said y’all seen worse and hate when us young fans complain. I’ve barely been conscious for 20 years but how exactly did y’all look at Saints games back than without flipping your lid and hoping something changed? (I need to know so I can find a way to deal with my anger the same way y’all deal with it)
It was just a different experience. The Saints were bad and had been bad for years. At least for me, it was much more of a social event to watch the Saints games. For the most part, we expected them to lose
Payton and Brees come to New Orleans, and give us all a taste of greatness. Now we’re suckers hoping a clearly mediocre franchise would have a chance to be successful. I’ve started lowering my expectations like the old days recently, actually.
