I’m very petite and my everyday watch was a Tag Heuer Professional 200m dive watch from the 90s measuring 28mm. The watch is broken and the part they need to replace no longer exists, so I’m in the market for a replacement. I really liked the rotating bezel and the water resistance. Since water is the one place you can’t bring a phone to tell time, I will absolutely swim with it. I’m used to the dive watch design but open to GMT since that may be more practical for me.

I’ve been searching for a while but all the requests and recommendations for “ladies’ watch” thinks 36mm is small enough. With my 5in wrist a 36mm watch covers the entire surface of the wrist and the lugs hang off the wrist. I’ve tried many sizes and even the current Tag 30mm looks very bulky, not to mention the design itself just doesn’t appear as “finished” as the old designs. Technically watches up to 30-33mm “fit” my wrist but I’m petite overall and it just does not look right. After trying many watches, I’ve concluded that 30mm is the max and 28mm with under 10mm thickness is ideal.

I’m looking at the $2000-$4000 range in luxury brands, open to something a bit less if the quality is good. I’m currently wearing a 26mm Seiko 5 automatic (no rotating bezels, only “water resistant”) that looks similar to the Tag but the difference in quality is very obvious. I recently came across this brand https://abingdonco.com/ which seems promising but their smallest one is 33mm.

Is there any chance I’ll be able to find any high quality, new, 28mm dive/GMT watch?
