To he clear, I was not a fan of us using our flexibility to trade for a player like Lavine who is overpaid and doesn’t do the little things to win a game. BUT…

IT seems like there is not trade market for Lavine meaning that we might be able to get Lavine for a relatively low price.

Morey is great at negotiations and the Tobias Salary is almost identical to Lavine’s this year.

The question is, IF More can somehow trade Tobias + Bamba + a 2nd for Lavine, do we do that deal?

The question is really centered around if the team views Lavine as a wining piece that will bring us closer to a championship?

Or do we view Lavine’s contract as a liability the same way we view Tobias Harris?

Do we view Lavine’s skillset as an asset next to Maxey? Or is it too much of an overlap?

Do we view Lavine’s defensive lapses as too much of a liability? Or do we think that under Nurse and a winning team, he can start to play harder on that end? (I personally think he can be a decent defender if he puts in the effort like he did when the Bulls were competitive for a short stint).

If we try to stretch it even further and add Martin for Patrick Williams? Is a Patrick Williams reclamation project enticing?

Should we try to go for Lavine? Or should we focus our efforts into finding a secondary playmaker?

I’m curious to get the feel of this sub.
