Hello, Tech Support Redditors. Today, I may have made a grave mistake, and half the reason was lag.
Recently, as in 10 mins ago, I had clicked on an ad for a website I was on. The website was not a well known one, and I’ve already forgotten it, as it was my first time there. I was scrolling, and I kept scrolling. At one point, I needed to read smth, so I stopped, and accidentally clicked an ad that suddenly just, appeared. There was a gap already there but my mind just couldn’t comprehend that an ad could be there, in a perfectly fitting gap
Anyway, I clicked on it, and it lead me to where I was before, reloaded, with a new ad, which stated the town I lived in, which it didn’t before, and now every ad was like that. I immediately left the site, closed it, and searched for a good 10 mins as to what to do, turning off WiFi access to my device, checked recent downloads and recent apps installed, disabling location services to everything, etc.
What should I do now, just to make sure that I’m safe? (I am very worried, I am just not good at writing it, please help)
