First off, fuck the Jets, they should stick to some accuracy and take New York out of their name. But still, as much as the Jets can get fucked, I’m really rooting for Aaron Rodgers in his comeback attempt rn.
Today a video came out of Rodgers throwing passes at MetLife, I know its not the same thing as actually being on the field, but still, he’s up and at em less then two months after his injury, that deserves some props. He’s a 40 year old quarterback who could’ve easily just said “I’m done” after that injury, and nobody would’ve faulted him, but instead he’s potentially on track to one of the fastest Achilles recoveries in league history. Honestly I can’t help but root for him.
Whether it be a week 18 appearance like Akers in 2021, or a playoff return (even though I hope they get absolutely smoldered if they get a wild card bid), I’m rooting for Rodgers. Its partially because the Jets are harder to root against because of how bad they are, (like if he was with the Pats my sentiment would probably be different). But still, an Achilles tear is pretty much the toughest injury to recover from in football (besides well yk), its crazy how quickly Rodgers is coming back from this.
