“What I hear when I’m being yelled at is people caring loudly at me.”

League just ain’t for me. The grind to 30 is too slow to put up with the heavily skewed matches. I can learn all I want from my mistakes, but the opponent in the other lane who has been playing years compared to my single month will have learned from more. I don’t know if I’m getting matched with them because they suck or I come across as experienced, but in practice it just doesn’t work.

I hope this image helps everyone learn how balance decisions are made.

What exactly is riot supposed to do about this? Plat 4 players can play normals with their terrible friends. Riot can’t really bar that from happening. Most people who get into this game get into it by playing with friends who already play. There is no real solution to this problem you had.

You have to understand this is a (e)sport. You are playing pick-up games, and some kid brought his uncle who used to play in college. The uncle is gonna win his kid the game, but at the end of the day its just a fun little game and winning isn’t that important. It’s not like you get anything for winning. And if winning is the only way you can have fun, then sports aren’t for you, because nobody gets to win every game.

When you are new, you need to focus on everything BUT winning. You should feel good when you manage 6-7 cs/m. You should feel good when you win your lane. You should feel good when you make a small outplay.

Winning comes later, when all those other things become second nature. “If you plan to chase victory, learn how to run first” -old saying from my part of the world
