Gday Pelicans fans

Just an Australian fan waning to check in on Dyson Daniels, we don’t get many Pelicans games down this way, but you guys played my Spurs and it got me thinking!

Always hear about how good Dyson is on defence, he is surely poised to make some all defensive teams by the end of his career, he is a major disruption on the other end. But is his offence just that bad?

He seems reluctant to shoot, and his assist numbers feel low especially seeing as you guys have some weapons on the scoring end (BI, Zion and low key Hawkins who was a great pick).

Is it a lack of opportunity to get shots on offence or does he suffer the cruel Australian fate of being scared to shoot ? (RIP Ben Simmons)

Let us know what you think!

Fellow Australian checking in. Please don’t compare this dude to Ben, everyone has their own thoughts about him, right or wrong, but putting Dyson in the same category because ‘Straya’ is unfair.
He’s not scared to shoot but does lack confidence. That’s deeply affected when shots don’t fall, before adding pressure to perform. This becomes a circle. When he’s free and easy, or on the floor with something to prove, both of these things equal results. I’m excited about his future
