If the Jaguars win out the only AFC team that could attain an equal record to the Jaguars is the Dolphins (the Jaguars have a head to head vs the Ravens).

If the Dolphins and Jags both win out they’ll have equal records. The tiebreakers are:

  1. Head to head - not applicable.

  2. Conference record - both teams will have an equal conference record including 10 wins and 2 losses.

  3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four - if both teams win out the Dolphins will be 4-2 vs common opponents (Bills, Panthers, Chiefs, Titans, Ravens) for a .66 percentage and the Jags will be 5-1 for a .83 win percentage securing themselves the 1 seed.

And while not ideal, if we drop one game to a team not named the Ravens, we can still get the one seed if the Chiefs lose to one more team (they face the Bills, Raiders, Bengals, and Chargers down the stretch) and the Dolphins don’t win out (they have the Ravens, Cowboys and Bills).

We don’t have an easy schedule remaining, but neither do our main rivals.
