A month ago, I was just as skeptical as everyone else that Pittsburgh’s notorious loyalty would hold true when it came to both Canada and Kenny. As shocked as I was about Canada, it needed to be done.
My first thought was the fact that they did this mid season was to put Kenny to the test. Let him air it out the rest of the year, see if Canada was actually holding him back or is he just not the guy? My personal opinion, Kenny is not the future of this franchise.
Why I say it’s detrimental - as of a few hours ago, it was revealed that this injury is going to sideline him “a couple of weeks.” I believe this will essentially give him a pass, and he will remain QB1 next season. By no means am I saying I have the blueprint for who the QB should be, but it’s no secret how deep this draft class appears to be on paper. It’s not Kenny, sure as hell isn’t Mitch, and I think Rudolph has had his chances. What’s next?

This is detrimental for the Steelers cause the front office will have a reason to start his bum ass next year and waste talent on this team…. Mediocre Mike needs to go along with his jv coaches
