Disclaimer: I’m the dev of this engine, trying to do a measly attempt at advertising…
It is a cross-platform engine that can run on Windows and Linux. It has some additional features such as improved graphics, support for higher resolutions, and better controller support. The engine also supports custom levels. See the README for other features, or the slighly outdated feature video - updates are this video and this video (the latter one is specifically designed for the coop feature).
It has an official package in the games repo of openSUSE, and if you want to try it out on different distributions, there are instructions in the README to compile it yourself, which should hopefully be easy enough to get you going.
