Sometimes reading this sub feels like being in a political sub. Left/Right or BNL/SOL, everyone keeps attacking fellow r/detroitlions members its ok to have different opinions and one isn’t better than another…
As a wrestling coach, I’m happy when our athletes win their matches, but we always keep them humble and hungry, because we’re not wrestling to beat the first year beginners, we’re training to be state placers, state champs and national competitors.
And just like the parents we deal with, we realize some are more competitive (always pushing their kids to improve) , some are supportive (proud of their child’s performance, regardless of W’s and L’s), and some are cheerleaders (rooting for the win at all costs). I feel like we have the same types of fans here, but feels like its becoming more and more tense towards each other (like all the political arenas). Must we fight amongst ourselves? It’s not every year we get to enjoy a winning season.
Me, I just like to enjoy our quality memes, hilarious comments and armchair GM/QB opinions.
