Problem:
Resident evil 2: works through menu and first cutscene as gameplay starts it crashes when first cut scene ends.
Resident evil 3: menu is fine then you select new game and the loading screen appears hits 100% loading then crashes
Resident evil 7: crashes after capcom logo after boot.
Resident evil 8/village: boots up hits loading screen then crashes before anything spears on screen
CPU: ryzen 9 7950x3d GPU: nvidia 4090 Ram: 64gb Motherboard: x670e Rog Crosshair Hero 40TB hard drive SATA 2x 2TB Solid State drive (1 SATA and 1 PCIE)
OS: Batocera 39
I have tried for months to get these games to work can also see there’s tons of people with various different hardware and os setups with same problem. I feel the key to fix one is probably the key to fix them all. I have all codecs and redist packages in the wrapper tried many diferent launch commands and nothing seems to work,
Batocera isn’t the issue the hardware isn’t either, tried on a raedon card and diferent cpu and have the same issue, resident evil 0, 1 4,5, and 6 work amazing with high frame rates and flawlesss game play on ultra settings.
Tried diferent protons and lutris versions and same issue on multiple diferent computers. Currently using latest proton and neither does is work on older builds. Please please someone fix this I need to get the whole resident evil collection fully functional on Linux.
