This is ETH in his stupid little hat
Cash, Digne and Luiz one yellow from suspension and face City on Wednesday.
Let’s hope for a violent game which lead to City dropping points and to soften up Villa on the weekend.
Incoming 60m bid for Ramsdale from Newcastle.
Take that money and run.
Pep said that modern wingers don’t take enough risks. I agree
Says the man the create this “mess”.
Just commuting to work on the metro in Tokyo and noticed this lady’s socks in front of me. Resisting the urge to trip her, I waltzed past and told her to “mind the gap” in Japanese. In hindsight, she might have thought I was talking about the gap between the platform and the train… Which would explain the puzzled look on her face 😅
Another player who fell out with Seven Hag, nothing new
Saliba Gabriel Diomande Rice Palhinha.
That rotation next year - we are going to concede less than 15 goals all season.
Lyon have an Irish CB called O’Brien. I dunno why this is funny to me 😂
Jeff Stelling has said the fa cup 3rd round draw should be seeded, as the lower league teams in league 2 and non league are looking for big paydays and TV coverage by playing teams in the prem/championship.
He argues that they should be given their moment in the sun vs a big club, rather than playing each other, getting no TV coverage and getting little to no money from their tie.
I have found it strange how many prem vs prem fixtures have been produced in the domestic cups lately.
On the other hand, prem vs prem means that lower league sides can advance further in the competition. One of us and Liverpool is getting eliminated straight away, that’s a big hitter guaranteed to be out after round 3.
Do you lot agree with Jeff or not?
Yeah makes sense. Makes it harder for them to actually win though. and could mean prem fans aren’t really tuned in until quarters

Feels good to be playing as well as we are without relying on Partey
Still waiting on PGMOL and the FA to go “Waaaaaaaah, City are meanies!”
Wondering what Howard Webb will present on live TV too. Hooper’s brain scans?
I’m actually going to go against the grain a little bit here, but I think the reaction to Hooper’s mistake yesterday is overblown. The advantage rule is complicated to implement, a ref has about one second to assess the entire field AND try predict which outcome (playing on or a free kick) is more advantageous. In comparison, a ref in rugby has like 30-40 seconds to weigh up the decision. He clearly misread that Grealish was favorite to get the ball, and seeminly second guessed himself and reacted to that. He also gestured that the foul had been committed, and some are arguing that he may have blown his whistle initially. If that’s the case, you have to stop play.
Of course its a mistake, no debate. But that’s the definition of human error, and understandable imo. Its very different than having multiple refs with access to infinite replays, camera angles and slow-motion, and still getting it wrong.
Nah sorry this isn’t it.
The guy called advantage and then stopped play all within 2 seconds. He panicked.
You should let play go and use the resources you have available, linesman, VAR etc.
He was in no position to make that call and bring play back.
It was another catastrophic, high profile error by the idiots we have officiating our game.
You should let play go and use the resources you have available, linesman, VAR etc.
None of these are relevant in the case where Grealish doesnt get the ball first (which he mistakenly thought was the case). VAR can’t go back and give City a free kick.
Hooper could have let play continue, and VAR could have gone back and seen if the goal should stand had Grealish scored.
It was incompetence through and through.
Nope, there is nothing in that incident that would allow VAR to intervene. They can’t overturn a free kick (or lack thereof) or advantage. VAR is literally irrelevant to this specific case, no matter what decision Hooper makes
Why are you not addressing the issue that even City is up in arms about?
Grealish was through on goal. Had he let play continue, and Grealish didn’t score, then there’s no reason for VAR to intervene. No harm, no foul.
Had Grealish scored, then VAR could intervene and see whether play should have been stopped to begin with and whether the goal stands.
This is the crux of the issue, and what should have happened if Hooper was competent.
