Hello, I need help with remote desktop.
I have some users who are using Motorola Symbol Mc9090 handheld devices running Windows Mobile. They use these devices to pick merchandise in a large warehouse. This warehouse has a well-configured Mesh network with Ubiquiti and Linksys access points, and the network works perfectly without any drops.
The problem arises with remote desktop. When the users move from one access point to another, that split-second disconnection causes the remote desktop session to drop, and they have to manually reconnect, which takes time.
We have checked everything from group policies to local policies on the servers, as everything is within a domain, for remote desktop and VPN.
Does anyone know of a way to prevent the users from getting disconnected when they switch from one network to another on these handheld devices?
I want to emphasize that the network is functioning properly, and this issue doesn’t occur on cell phones, only on the handheld devices.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
