Lakers have 3 playmakers in their starting 5 but 0 playmakers off the bench so it makes sense to bring one of the starters to run the 2nd unit.

AR brings instant energy. He also can create his own shots while also creating for teammates. With the 2nd unit, he’ll get much more touches than he had with the starters. Perfect for the Ginobili 6th man role who also closes the games.

If AR does come off the bench, this could move Prince to the SG spot and Rui to the SF spot, maybe even Vando giving the Lakers a big starting unit.

Are the people calling for AR coming off the bench even watching the games? AR, D’Lo and Bron are already getting staggered and all three of them are splitting time with bench lineups. AR is playing with Gabe and Rui. D’Lo and Bron are playing with Gabe, Wood and a bit of Hayes.
