I’ve been eyeing the Oris Big Crown Bronze/Green Dial and Christopher Ward Dune Bronze/Green Dial. However, I don’t like when people let the watches patina to where they aren’t shiney anymore. I’ve read you can soak your watch in vinegar and clean it to remove the patina. But I haven’t been able to find any examples on if this is sustainable or if the watch will end up dull after a few years. Has anyone tried to keep a bronze watch in shiny condition long term?

Yes, removing the layer of oxidation with acid on a regular basis will keep it looking as new. Of course, you may notice degradation of the case finishing if you’re not careful about it.
