He looked really nice in his few snaps! Yes this is quite reactionary but, he’s back home in Atlanta, the team seemed to enjoy playing around him, he should have something to prove. Even if it’s a one hit wonder of a season, do you think there’s any chance he really surprises and has a (semi) late career resurgence a la Geno Smith?

    In Washington he had a godawful OLine. This probably increased the number of turnovers he took, and spending three years there seems to have given him excellent pocket presence and a stronger run threat than ridder has. Behind a better o line, with better options on the ground, I think he could look way better here than he did in Washington. I don’t think he’ll be Geno Smith. But if we ride heinecke the rest of the year, we may find it worth it to draft a QB and sit him for say, half of next year while heinecke starts so that he isn’t thrown to the wolves.
