Hello! I would like to ask for advice… I’m considering purchasing Air M1 8GB, currently available for 949 EUR with a student discount at a local store, or waiting for a potential sale given the upcoming release of the new M3.

My Dell Vostro, which I’ve had since January 2021, has become slow and it is pretty heavy, and my iPad 9th Gen doesn’t fully replace a laptop for my workload (no matter that it’s light) with PDFs, Excel, Teams, and an online application portal and university work. iDeal is offering it for 1049 EUR on sale, down from the usual ~1200 EUR price. I’d prefer not to buy online or purchase a refurbished/used Mac, and I basically need a fast and light laptop.

Do you think the 949 EUR offer is a good deal, or should I wait? Thank you!
