Every time I get too excited about this team all I can think about is how we went out in 2018 and 2019. But at this point I think we have at least a top 2/3 team in the AFC.
I think we’re a top 2/3 team in the league, not just the conference - We’ve always been capable of beating any team in the league, but I think we’re good enough now that we’re capable of embarrassing any team in the league.
But until we find consistency, we’re beatable, and even the bad teams are really pretty good
How we have looked overall this year has done nothing to garner much excitement. We have generally played well below our potential in most games. We have 2 losses and it’s largely because we have made critical mistakes, drops, fumbles and ints. This team has not earned optimismm IMO. We’re halfway through the season. This is what we are until we prove otherwise
I get that, but the way I see it is those ‘mistakes’ that cost us the games against teams such as the Colts are 'fixable , hell if we had played the Cardinals a few weeks earlier that probably would have beaten us, but they seemed to have learnt from those 2 games and not shoot themselves in the foot.
Regular season success is nothing new since 2018.
