I’m pro-analytics. I know o-line is weak link and pass catchers are strong link. But I also see how ass o-line play is across the league this year. Hump is declining and you usually can’t get a quality (never mind great) tackle without a top-16 pick.
So I want the Cards to use their first pick on Fashanu and not Harrison. They can take a wideout with their second first rounder or use it to trade for a good vet on mediocre/crap team.
They also need to get at least one more interior guy, maybe 2, but they have a ton of picks and cap space to address that next year.

As someone who is “pro-analytics” which analysis points are you using to make your determinations?
From a stats standpoint (different from analytics) the Cards are 11th in sacks allowed, 2nd in rush yds, and 2nd in yards per carry. From watching the games, most of the sacks occur because Dobbs is holding the ball too long once they burn through the scripted plays.
I do agree it’s time to find a replacement for Humphries, but the rest of the starters have been solid for most being journeyman type players.
Mostly how the Saints built there o-line during the Brees years. I think it’s wise to invest more of your cap and draft picks into your o-line if you’re QB is relatively small and injury prone.
