My comment 12 days ago on the Manuel post still relevant. This was before we knew he had family in the states: https://www.reddit.com/r/90DayFiance/comments/17brn2d/comment/k5v0yir/

"Ashley’s fantasy: is a man with a body like this, minus the machismo, who wants to be a family man with her.

    Song: gerardo - rico suave

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8_f3kJOX_8

    She settles for Manuel.

(Ashley had a dream that she was in the jungle working with the earth. Her Biology teacher had a group going to Ecuador, and she went to study abroad there. Manuel asked her to dance. They got engaged a week later.)

Instead she gets a machismo man who wants a green card, and to send money back to his family in Ecuador, then bring his family to live in the U.S.

“In the first 11 months of fiscal year 2023, Border Patrol apprehended nearly 99,000 Ecuadorians who entered the U.S. without authorization, a 312% spike from fiscal year 2022 and an annual record, federal data show.”

Oh, I was just taking a shower, looked up and saw a bottle of Suave."

I just rewatched ep 1 to refresh my memory.

    1. They spent 7 years apart and he called her out of the blue in 2020.
    2. He never wanted to move to the US then now decides it’s what’s best.
    3. She never knew he had any family in the US, much less New York.

Yeah this is fishy to me. This feels very green card and Ashley is the victim of it.

I said this from day one,it’s a romance scam. Also what her sister came out saying makes zero sense, why would she promise to bring him here only if they got on the show?I think that’s her story for why it didn’t end up working out between them, because it’s pretty obvious that there would be no benefits to getting on this show. When you have to pay for sponsorship, those “good deals” from “influencing” off 90 day fiance doesn’t look so good to me 🤣But yes the moment we heard about the big family here I just knew it,also he doesn’t take her seriously.Only someone like her could fall for this, all the red flags were glaringly obvious even on tv
